We need the functionality to set-up externally provided training activities and then the ability to upload external certificates to that activity type. The certificates should appear under the 'Certificates' section of each user profile in the same way that the Access generated certificates do.
The status states already exists but it doesn't again the course only the person. The certificates should be available on external course completed
Very surprised to see this closed before resolution, if it already exists why can we not get this to work or someone show us a way of using it correctly, it has to be a sign off that can only happen after the document / course has been completed.
Certificates uploaded as documents do not appear under the 'certificates' section of the online app in the same way that activity certs within the Access LMS do. This means that mobile users using the app do not have access to their off line activity certificates. We need the same functionality that internal activities have for our off-line activities.
Hi to all who voted on this idea,
I believe you can already achieve this in the LMS using Offline Activities, which can be used to essentially 'represent' any kind of learning/qualification done outside of the LMS. You can set certificates against Offline Activities also.
I'm open to feedback as to why this might not be suitable, but for now I am closing this idea as 'already exists'.
Thanks,
Jess Gillett - LMS Product Manager
I agree, the certificates for external we currently put them under Documents but this doesn't seem right.
On your note on renewal dates, look into the rules - we have created rules for 1, 2, 3 etc year expiries and once it expires it goes back to Not Attempted. We also have a weekly expiry report set up informing us of upcoming external training that is expiring.
We also need to be able to set up renewal dates on the external training for those that require it
