Employment Details - Ended date allow field to be overwritten to remove data

We have many instances where a leavers date might be removed, a fixed term contract changes, a leaver changes their mind etc. The system currently doesn't allow a populated field to be overwritten with no data so when the HR system is updated, the update isn't recorded in My Learning and the record is archived meaning we have learners that cant access records.
