If the recently developed skills matching tool could be used to create a profile of competencies for a specific University course, the user could upload their CV and see how their skills match. The user would then know if they meet the criteria for the course and can apply. This would work the same way as applying for a job opportunity, however, not look like a job. The applications could go into a space in the CCM but not the Jobs Manager or could directly link to the University website.
As more Universities use RPL to recruit mature students, this would be applicable across the HE industry. This also in applicable to many apprenticeships.
